Captain Cook Monument

Captain Cook Memorial, is the landing place of Captain Cook and is part of the National Park. There are beautiful sea views through pines before it opens up on the cliff-top to a lovely area with BBQ facilities.

The monument was erected in 1953 & the inscription reads: 'Captain James Cook, RN, on his second voyage around the world discovered and named this island Norfolk Isle, landing in the vicinity of this point on October 10, 1774'.
